Football Shirt Restoration

At Unbelievable Saves, we remove damaged or unwanted names/numbers/sponsors/patches/match details/kit makes etc from your shirt, then make & apply new ones to make unwearable shirts wearable again!

Or, if you'd just want us to print on a plain backed or sponsorless shirt we can do that too, or send you the heat transfers for you to press yourself. Please see my insta profile for the most comprehensive archive of our work.

Unbelievable Saves Terms & Conditions

1. Customers understand that all shirt restorations carry risk & do not guarantee a perfect result, though we strive to achieve this on every shirt we receive & frequently do.

2. Where we are not able to significantly improve a shirt from the condition it came to us in we will not charge for the work, but will also not be buying the customer a new shirt. By sending it in you are acknowledging that you understand the risks & are happy to take them.

3. Unbelievable Saves aims to complete every removal to the standard where there is no residue or staining visible from the previous transfers, & the shirt can be worn without covering the area where the old transfer was. As you can see from the results posted on my social media profiles, this is frequently achieved. However, it is not always possible. The customer must therefore be prepared for the eventuality that the shirt could require a new name/number/sponsor/patch to cover as much of this area as possible.

4. Sometimes the process of unsticking names/numbers & sponsors from the shirt can cause slight stretches & pulls in the material. This is usually unavoidable, especially when working with older shirts, & I will not be made liable for any damage should it occur.

5. Sometimes dye from degraded sponsors can run during the removal process. This is almost always removable but can occasionally cause slight discolouration around the area the old print was removed from, especially on lighter shirts. The customer understands this is part of the risk of the shirt restoration process.

6. Shirts often come to me with fragile material around the nameset from age, with pulls, bobbles etc. It is rare, but these can become worse during the removal process. We will not be liable if this is to occur.

7. Shirts requiring heat pressing are done so in accordance with instructions provided by the manufacturer or customer. Some shirts are susceptible to outlines caused by the heatpress even when all the instructions are followed - for example older shirts which require flock transfers which need to be applied at a higher temperature than vinyl. We are not liable for damages should this occur.

8. Every effort is taken to ensure that dye bleed does not occur through our transfers - we use block out vinyl for white, & black powder for light coloured DTFs as well as not letting the temperature exceed 140c which is when the dye begins to form a gas & cause the issue. However, some shirts are especially prone to colour bleed & it is not possible to fully avoid in these instances.

9. I will give the customer the opportunity to choose the amount of postal insurance cover I return their shirt with. If the shirt is lost in transit I will refund them from this cover. If the shirt is worth more than the value of insurance the customer selects, I will not be liable to make up the difference in value myself. It is therefore important the customer selects the level of cover that reflects what they believe the value of the shirt to be.

10. Shirts often have to be washed after the removal process. This is done in the gentlest manner possible - hand washed in cool water & left to dry naturally. If a customer gives me a shirt which is so fragile that it cannot survive this without deteriorating, I will not be liable for this damage.

11. Once work is complete, we will send clear photographs of the work to the customer. Once the customer is satisfied by these the job will be regarded as complete & payment will be taken. Once the shirt has been sent back, if the customer is unhappy with anything we will be happy to try to rectify things but will only pay for the postage if it wasn't clear in the photographs we provided.

12. Unbelievable uses high quality, industry leading heat transfer vinyl & DTF transfers all made in the UK. However, even the highest quality heat transfers can be damaged if washed & dried incorrectly. Since we cannot control how our customers wash their shirts, we cannot provide refunds for damaged transfers once sent back to the customer.

Shirt Care

For best results, hand wash in cool water (30c or below) & leave to dry naturally.

Never use a heated dryer, spin dry is ok as long as no heat is involved.

Never directly iron transfers. You can turn the shirt inside out, cover the underside of the transfer with a teflon sheet or baking paper & iron lightly.
